Polyus gold output falls 1% to 591,700 ounces in January–March
MOSCOW, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Polyus gold production fell by 1% on the year and 17% on the quarter to 591,700 ounces in January–March, the company said in a statement on Monday.
The sales revenue preliminarily rose by 18% on the year and fell by 32% on the quarter to U.S. $1.017 billion, while the average price stood at $1,788 per ounce, rising by 12% on the year and falling 4% on the quarter.
Net debt decreased by 16% to $2.074 billion as of March 31.
Polyus plans to produce around 2.7 million ounces of gold in 2021, the company said.
